Integrated Web Server

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011

Just published a new tip covering the Integrated Web Server built in to Object2VR and Pano2VR. The tip explains the settings and how to use it so you can display the Flash or HTML5 outputs on devices connected to the same network without having to upload to a server.

The tip is under General Tips or can be found Here.

Object2VR 2.0 released

Tuesday, September 27th, 2011

We are proud to release the final version of Object2VR 2.0. After almost 3 years in beta I guess it is time to let go and name it with a proper version number. Since we could not resist, we added another feature since Object2VR 2.0b9 which is multiresolution. You can see a demo here.

To sum up the features of Object2VR:

  • single and multi-row VR object movies
  • multiple view states
  • fully customizable skin
  • hotspots
  • multiresolution
  • Flash, HTML5 and QuickTime VR export

To download this version, please visit the Object2VR download page.

Object2VR 2.0 beta 9 released

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

After way too long, we are happy to announce a new beta of Object2VR. The new features for this beta are:

  • HTML5 export
  • SWF and External elements in the Skin
  • Margins in the Skin
  • Updated Qt framework
  • Many bug fixes
  • New license model

As object movies don’t need any specific 3D features in HTML, the HTML5 exported object movies also work in older browsers, down to even Internet Explorer 6. Depending on the browser features not all functions may be available. In particular, the zoom/fullscreen and area hotspots require a modern browser. The HTML object movies work with all features on Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 4, Safari 5, Opera 11 and mobile devices like the iPad, iPhone, Playbook and Android devices.

You can see some examples at http://ggnome.com/o .

We also changed the license model to match the new Pano2VR license model. If you already have an Object2VR license nothing changes. For new customers the licenses are now issued per seat and you can add the unbranded option.

Object2VR 2.0 beta6 released

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

I just released a new beta version of Object2VR. To work with larger projects (>1000 images) I added 64 bit versions for Windows and Mac OS X.

For the Mac release: Because Carbon doesn’t support 64bit I also provide a Cocoa build that has an Intel 32bit & 64bit and PowerPC universal binary. You need at least Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard to use the Cocoa build.

Some new features are:

  • Better handling of larger projects
  • Updated Skin editor
  • Skin:Viewer Mode to switch between turn & move mode
  • A lot of bug fixes

You can download this version (as always) from the Object2VR download page.
