Packaging Flash Files for CD or Memory Stick

We have just produced a new tip covering how to package the Flash output from either Object2VR or Pano2VR using the Flash Player Projector. This also packages the player with the files so they can be played on a computer even if it does not have Flash installed.

Tutorial: Multiresolution – Basic and Advanced

Yay! New multiresolution tutorials for Pano2VR are now up.

The Basic tutorial takes you through the initial steps and basic settings for outputting a multiresolution image.

The Advanced tutorial picks up where the Basic tutorial leaves off and goes into more detail about the advanced settings (this one is more of an explanation of the settings rather than a how-to).

As always we hope you enjoy them and learn something new!

Pano2VR 3.1.4 released

This new version of Pano2VR is bug fix release. The Mac App Store version fixes a bug where the Flash Skins didn’t work properly. A WebGL memory leak in the HTML5 player was fixed for all Pano2VR versions.

Pano2VR 3.1.3 released

This new version of Pano2VR is mainly a bug fix release. You can find the complete list of changes here. A little new feature is the “on the fly” conversion of SVG Skin images to PNGs for the HTML5 output. This comes in handy if you want to use your panoramas within iBooks Author (more about iBooks will follow soon).

Web Browser Error Console Tip

We have just released a new tip looking at how to use the built in error console found in most web browsers. The tip looks at how to access the console and how to use it as well as having links to files with know errors so you can try for yourself and see the results.

Integrated Web Server

Just published a new tip covering the Integrated Web Server built in to Object2VR and Pano2VR. The tip explains the settings and how to use it so you can display the Flash or HTML5 outputs on devices connected to the same network without having to upload to a server.

Pano2VR 3.1.2 released

We are happy to release a new version of Pano2VR. This is mainly a bug fix release. You can find the complete list of changes here. Two new features are a “Show in Explorer/Finder” in the context menu (right click) for all labels with file names. We also changed almost all dialogs to be non modal so you can now open more then one output or project window at the same time.
The file path handling has also been changed and the “base path” has been removed. All files are now relative to the project file.

Pano2VR in the Mac App Store

After some back an forth with Apple, Pano2VR is now finally in the Mac App Store!

The current version in the Mac App Store differs from the normal Mac version in regards of file handling and other smaller changes required by Apple. Also the droplet feature is missing. Our plan is to sync the versions with the next minor release.
