Pano2VR 2.3.4 released

I just released Pano2VR 2.3.4. This is mostly a bugfix release.

The following things have been changed/fixed:

Bugfix: Save as default didn’t work on Macs
Bugfix: The input dialog uses the last used image folder
Bugfix: Flash tour: Panoramas had not been fully loaded if the sub tiling didn’t match
Russian translation updated

Pano2VR 2.3.3 released

I just released Pano2VR 2.3.3. This is mostly a bugfix release.

The following things have been changed/fixed:

Flat Images – Flash export: Option to allow visible background
Bugfix: MacOS: OpenEXR/Radiance HDR added to the supported formats for droplets
Bugfix: Distortion while mouse wheel zoom without mass simulation
Bugfix: Skin Editor: Copy & Paste of multiple elements duplicated the active element
Bugfix: Sound editor: Visual glitch with cubic panoramas

Object2VR 2.0 beta 7 released

I just released a new beta version of Object2VR.
The new features are:

Import QuickTime VR files
Updated Skin editor
Option for smoothing while zooming
You can add your own link to the context menu (only with a company license)
A lot of bug fixes

I just released Pano2VR 2.3.2. This is mostly a bugfix release.

The following things have been changed/fixed:

Skin: Actions for Enter/Exit Fullscreen.
Flash export: Created a separate “Context Menu” box.
Bugfix: Flash: Slow resizing of the window.
Bugfix: Flash Flat Image: Fix for large values of “Minimum FoV”.
Bugfix: Mac OS X Cocoa: Crash on exit if a non English translation was used.

Pano2VR 2.3.1 released

I just released Pano2VR 2.3.1. This is mostly a bugfix release.
I also added 64 bit versions for Windows and Mac.
For the Mac release: Because Carbon doesn’t support 64bit I also provide a Cocoa build that has a Intel 32bit & 64bit and PowerPC universal binary. You need at least Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard to use the Cocoa build.

The following things have been changed/fixed:

Flash export: You can add your link in the Flash context menu (only with a company license)
Translations added/updated (Portuguese, French, German, Polish, Farsi)
Output folders are created if they don’t exist
Default output for empty projects is now the Documents folder
Better handling of large images in “Trial” mode
Bugfix: Flash: Mininal FoV works again
Bugfix: Patch Tool: Patches for 8 bit images are now fully opaque

Object2VR 2.0 beta6 released

I just released a new beta version of Object2VR. To work with larger projects (>1000 images) I added 64 bit versions for Windows and Mac OS X.

For the Mac release: Because Carbon doesn’t support 64bit I also provide a Cocoa build that has an Intel 32bit & 64bit and PowerPC universal binary. You need at least Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard to use the Cocoa build.

Some new features are:

Better handling of larger projects
Updated Skin editor
Skin:Viewer Mode to switch between turn & move mode
A lot of bug fixes

Pano2VR 2.3.0 released

We are happy to announce that we finally released Pano2VR 2.3.0. If you didn’t follow the 2.3 beta here is a list of the major new features since 2.2:

Background, directional and effect sound within the panorama
Effect sounds and sound control in the Skin
Read/Write OpenEXR and Radiance .HDR files
Support for flat (non distorted) images

Of course there have been a lot of other smaller changes. You can find the full list in the Pano2VR change log.

Pano2VR 2.3 beta 6 released

I just released Pano2VR 2.3 beta6 which is mainly a bugfix release for beta5.

The changes are:

Switch back to Qt 4.5.3 because of OpenGL errors in Windows
Bugfix: Flat images work now correct with hotspots
Bugfix: Flat images showed sometimes a thin black line
Bugfix: Skin: Endless loop (loop=0) changed volume
Change of cylindrical FoV in viewing parameters works now faster

Pano2VR 2.3 beta 5 released

I just released Pano2VR 2.3 beta5.

The new features/changes are:

Flat (non distorted) images as input type and Flash output
Flash 9 export: 4 different field of view modes (vFoV, hFoV, dFoV, Max)
Support for tiled TIFFs as produced by PTStitcherNG
New faster memory management for large images (~GPixel)
Skin: Hand cursor as option per element
Skin: Placeholders work also in value fields
Cylindrical Horizontal FoV now also in “Viewing Parameters” window
Update to Nokias Qt 4.6.0 which should be faster.

And of course bug fixes:

Sound: Some bugs with looping fixed
Odd PNG bug work around implemented
Flash HTML “externalize” fixed
Skin: Loading bar/OnLoaded works correct with external images

The changes are:

Sound: External *.mp3 files
Bugfix: Skin editor could not be launched from the Flash settings page
Bugfix: Patch Tool ignore the image gamma
