SWF in a PDF

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

Ever wonder how to get your Flash panorama in a PDF? Well, thanks to Martin, now you can learn how. He’s written up an easy-to-follow tutorial explaining the steps. You’ll need Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, some Garden Gnome software and a word processor capable of exporting PDF.

The tutorial can be found in our documentation.

Tutorial: Multiresolution

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

We’ve just posted another quick tutorial on outputting multiresolution Flash movies with Pano2VR 3.0beta.

The multiresolution outputs allow for very large images to be easily viewed on a user’s computer by creating multiple levels of resolutions that load when necessary. The multiresolution export has built-in image tiling that can be embedded within the SWF. The tiles can be in different projections like
cubic, equirectangular, cylindrical, flat.

Examples of multiresolution outputs can be found on our Pano2VR 3.0 samples page.

The Flat Image

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

Version 2.3.0 of Pano2VR gave us the option to use a flat image (or a non-distorted image) as an input type and then export it as a Flash movie. Earlier, this was done through the Cylinder input type, setting the field of view angle and making sure that 3D distortion was turned off. The Flat input type now takes care of this for us. Sweet! Check out the new video and text tutorials:
