Object2VR Multiresolution Tutorial

Wednesday, May 9th, 2012

A fresh, new Object2VR tutorial is ready for your learning pleasure. This one showcases the Multiresolution feature which lets the viewer experience good resolution at different zoom levels (as opposed to zooming in to a blurry mess). Great for showing off detail in products!

Check out the tutorial.

Check out our example (and don’t forget to zoom in).

Garden Gnomes in Palmela

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

As you may have heard this year’s IVRPA conference will be in Palmela, Portugal from June 1st to 5th, 2011 and I will give a short talk about Pano2VR 3. As the whole Garden Gnome team will go to Portugal this may be a good opportunity to meet up with us and other panorama photographers.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you there!

Updated HTML5 Tutorial

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

Finally! We have updated our HTML5/CSS3 tutorial; both the written and the video.

HTML5 with CSS3 lets us display and interact with our panoramas without the need for Adobe Flash. This is especially useful if you wish to present your panoramas on any Apple touch device since they do not support Flash.

To the tutorial!

First Pano2VR 3.0 beta released

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

This is only a quick note that the first beta of Pano2VR 3.0 has been released. More information will follow soon.
The 2 big new features are HTML5 / CSS3 export and multi resolution in Flash.

The HTML5 player is a full feature panorama player, with point hotspots, full skin support (your Flash skins should work without changes), multiple resolutions for iPhone/iPad and Scaleable Vector Graphics (SVG) within the skin to use the high resolution display of the iPhone4.

The multi resolution export has built in image tiling, the tiles can be embedded within the SWF, and the tiles can be in different projections like
cubic, equirectangular, cylindrical, flat.

You can see demos of these new features here: http://ggnome.com/3 (iPhone friendly URL).

To import larger images also BigTIFF is now supported.
You can download free Photoshop import/export filters for BigTIFF here: (Windows/Mac). You have put those into your Photoshop plugin folder.

Pricing: The price is still 59 Euros (excl. VAT).
Upgrade: If you bought Pano2VR 2.x in 2010 the upgrade to 3.x is free, between 1.7. and 31.12.2009 it is 10 Euros (excl. VAT) and if you bought it before 1.7.2009 it is 20 Euros (excl. VAT).
