Version 2.3.0 of Pano2VR gave us the option to use a flat image (or a non-distorted image) as an input type and then export it as a Flash movie. Earlier, this was done through the Cylinder input type, setting the field of view angle and making sure that 3D distortion was turned off. The Flat input type now takes care of this for us. Sweet! I also added 64 bit versions for Windows and Mac.
For the Mac release: Because Carbon doesn’t support 64bit I also provide a Cocoa build that has a Intel 32bit & 64bit and PowerPC universal binary. You need at least Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard to use the Cocoa build.

The following things have been changed/fixed:

Flash export: You can add your link in the Flash context menu (only with a company license)

Translations added/updated (Portuguese, French, German, Polish, Farsi)

Output folders are created if they don’t exist

Default output for empty projects is now the Documents folder

Better handling of large images in “Trial” mode

Bugfix: Flash: Mininal FoV works again

Bugfix: Patch Tool: Patches for 8 bit images are now fully opaque

Did you know you can change the project default settings in Pano2VR? If you have found a regular base of settings in your workflow, you can save these settings as the default using the Save as Default option in the File menu.

For example, if you regularly output to Flash with a window size of 800 x 400 and a frame rate of 25, you can have the Flash output with these settings ready every time you open a new project file. Or if your metadata is constant, like the Author and Copyright, you can add this to the User Data fields and save as part of the default settings.

Naturally, you can always revert back to the original system default settings by choosing Reset Default from the File menu.
