Re: Variables that work for both HTML5 & Flash?

Okay, so this IS possible in the current version of P2VR. I would appreciate a little bit of explanation regarding how to implement it, however. I'm a bit confused by the new skin editor and the documentation for it only scratches the surface of what can be done with it, I think. What I'm looking fo...

Variables that work for both HTML5 & Flash?

Is there a good, not overly complicated way to create simple 'variable states' that can work for both HTML5 and Flash versions of a Pano2vr tour? For example, a tour of a house with a list of different things like lights, sounds, animations, image overlays, or other 'states' (active or inactive hots...

Re: Pano2VR 4.5, 360-degree html5 video?

Update: The bugs, it seems, aren't fixable. While the edges can all be made to line up fine, no matter what I do, the video on the various cube faces goes at least a little out of sync. I really hope there is some way to make this work but right now I don't see it. I will have to develop the HTML5 v...

Re: Pano2VR 4.5, 360-degree html5 video?

Turns out something that looked like it was working well at first is glitchy in practice: Various visual problems in IE9 and Firefox, and doesn't run at all on Chrome. I will need to try a few things and see if I can address the latency issues, some cube faces are off-sync with others probably becau...

Re: Pano2VR 4.5, 360-degree html5 video?

Never mind, I came up with a solution I should've figured out earlier. It involves editing the XML file to accurately position six video faces, each with a 90-degree field of view. You can't line up all the edges correctly in the Pano2vr editor, but typing in all the numbers by hand, can result in a...

Pano2VR 4.5, 360-degree html5 video?

Pano2VR's Flash output has a way to do 360-degree video, making the entire panorama animated, but is there any procedure that can work with Pano2VR 4.5 that would allow us to do the same with the html5 output? I have tried 'faking' it with a set of .mp4 hotspots but for me, it never lines up seamles...

Thanks Hopki for your reply.

I'm glad that the developers are paying attention to this issue.

Re: Pano2VR 4.0 Pinned Video/Image Placement

In my tests webm and mp4 don't work with the external media loader in the skin editor.

You can specify files in those formats but they won't display.

Is this just me though?

Re: Pano2VR 4.0 Pinned Video/Image Placement

What file formats can be used there though, other than still images, .GIFs, and SWFs? I get the impression that this technique isn't very usable if your goal is to output to HTML5.

BTW, I agree with everyone here who would like to see a corner pin feature.

HTML5 video alignment issues

I'm trying to line up video to fit seamlessly into a panoramic scene. I'd like this to work in HTML5. I'm struggling to get enough accuracy with the media positioning tools in Pano2vr4, and the alternate method - using a hotspot template and external media file in the skin editor - doesn't seem to l...
