Re: Multiresolution Flash Problems

I am experiencing the exact same issue when trying to build multiresolution flash panos. I followed the tutorial as well, and it always seems to load the lowest quality level, and never loads any higher levels, when you zoom in. There is also the annoying white flashes as cubes load while panning. H...

Re: run hotspot actions in order

Hopki, Thanks. I was just trying to figgure out a way to make a zoom to transition between panos. Krpano has a transition that zooms to an area when you click the hotspot, and then loads the next pano. I was trying to create that sort of effect in Pano2vr, and it wasnt working like I hoped. Well, at...

Re: run hotspot actions in order

No responses in a week, so is what I am trying to do not possible in Pano2VR without getting into actionscript?

It seems like there could be another trigger that says wait until the previous action has ended?

Thanks!

run hotspot actions in order

I am trying to do this: When a hotsopt is clicked, pan and move, and zoom into that area, Then load the next pano. Once in the next pano, start from the default location, and then pan to a new location and stop. In the skin editor, I have created a hotspot template, and on click have it move to view...

Re: BUG REPORT: Crash when converting format

I am running P2vr 2.2.3 as well, on Windows XP pro, and notice the exact same thing. It works fine if I do not click the 'select' button. You can change the name of the output file, but not which folder it saves to.
But as soon as you click the 'select' button, it crashes.

Re: setAutorotate via javascript

Hi Tom Why not change "onclick" to "onload" in the Javascript? Best regards Peter Yes, that is exactly what I originally tried, and it did not work. In IE, it did not work the first time a pano was loaded, but subsequent times (if it was cached) it did start autorotating immedia...

Re: setAutorotate via javascript

Hopki,
Yes, I have been able to get it to work fine with an onClick event. What I need, is it to start without any user intervention at all.
I need it to start rotating automatically after the page loads.

Thanks.

setAutorotate via javascript

I have been having a hard time getting panos to autorotate via javascript. I know I can rebuild them, but I need it to work via javascript. In firefox I keep getting the error that pano is undefined. In IE, it will not work the first time, but will, after the pano has loaded, and you refresh the pag...

Re: VR Tour Pricing???

I use a Canon 40d and a canon 15mm fisheye. To get a full 360x180 pano, I take 3 rows of 9 images. I set the camera on manual, I meter on the darkest part of the room, and set the exposure to underexpose by 2 stops. I then set autobracketing to +2 -2. That way with the +2 shot, the darkest areas wil...

Re: VR Tour Pricing???

Kevin, Looking back, I see I wasnt very consistent in my use of the word 'tour'. Generally yes, when I say a tour, I mean a single panoramic pictureI almost always sell them in packages on 4 or 5 tours (or more, but not often). Thanks for the compliments on my site. Its alway nice to get feedback. I...

Re: VR Tour Pricing???

For Real Estate tours (up to 4 views) I get $150. Sometimes a bit more if I include a gallery of stills as well. Real estate tours by their nature are temporary, so it doesnt pay to put a lot of time into them. Speeding up your workflow if very important. Including shooting the pictures, I can gener...

Re: Is this a viable business?

Panos are not my main source of income either, but suplement web development and photography. To take quality panos you have to use quality a quality camera and lens, which unfortunately is not cheap. Fortunately, as a photographer, I already had all of the equipment except the software and pano hea...

Re: what tripod to get?

The panoramic head is very important. If you are looking for an inexpensive pano head, I would second the panosaurus http://gregwired.com/pano/Pano.htm I think its about $80 USD, and he ships overseas. I use the panosaurus with a canon 40d, and the canon 15mm fisheye mounted on a manfroto tripod, an...

Kent, You can't turn off the status bar on Internet Explorer. It was a securty feature instituted since Windows XP SP1. It makes it more obvious that a pop up window is a browser window to make it less likely that people would get fooled by phishing sites creating pop up windows that looked exactly ...

Re: Hot Spots

I would be very interested in this as well. The current hotsopts created in the hotspot editor have no visible marker until you are over them, and when you mouseover, there is a very unattractive text box. If there was a way to attach an image or swf to use as the hotspot button, that would be perfe...
