Well, Finally success with this according to 2 of my friends with iPads. I had too shrink down the tiles a lot from original try. I use the same tiles for iPad and for iPhone 4. I have attached a screen shot of the settings that I am currently using as of March 4 2011

Update to the Update,
I was wrong iPad crashes all the time. I tried converting another pano when I thought I had the settings good but that one crashes too. Not sure what to do now!! I have uploaded 2 screenshots showing my settings and html tabs.

UPDATE,
Now one of my testers says all is working fine so I guess I will try to convert a few more panos and see what happens,

Not sure if this is reported but I have a consistent crash every time I go to the skin editor and create a rectangle and then go to edit properties. When I change the background color and click out of that window, Pano2vr will lock up at the next window requiring a "Force quit" of the app....
