How to start the Linux version?

I downloaded the Linux version. It does not come with a "README" or "How To" file, so I had several false starts about where and how to install it. I did manage to get it installed and ran the program a few times. I have now come back to it a couple of weeks later and can't get i...

Re: How to offset the horizon?

You might also want to look at the "Architectural" projection. http://wiki.panotools.org/Projections#Architectural_projection . Some more examples here (at the bottom of the page): http://krpano.com/docu/projections/ . Another example here: http://turingmachine.org/silvernegative/index.php...

Re: Pano2VR beta6 release

I think it would be helpful if you rationalized your numbering scheme. I personally find a letter appended to a number that is a beta release version of a projected main line version release number to be ... confusing. Please consider using a numbering system that is more mainstream. For example, &q...

Re: Cannot view continuous 360 panoramas

DeliVRator tells me that the pan limits on this movie are 0 and 63; the tilt limits -6.75729 and +6.7529; and the FoV is set to 60 degrees, with limits of 5 and 13.51458.. If I fuss with the settings, I can get the movie to behave (more) correctly (360 horizontal degrees of data is there). Just sett...

Re: Need some help for Skin Editor Mac OSX

So I take it that a .ggsk file is "really" a directory, containing the xml and png files, compressed in zip format but with the extension changed. Right?

For my education, what did you (Thomas) need to change to get Safari to leave it as-is?

Ah! I didn't look there... was expecting it to be in the "Output > New Output Format" section, not the "Input > Convert Input... Type: Cube faces" section. :) I haven't tried it yet, but is it true that this will convert the project so that the source file ("Input") act...

Ok, I have implemented your suggestions and they will be in the next beta version expect for the separate output format "Cube faces" in the output format. ... Umm... so which "next" next beta were you referring to? In the current "next" beta (2.0b3) I don't see such an...

Thank you Thomas!

Oh my! Student; masters' exams; reading Flash API docs; rewriting core... yeah, add those all up and a person could be quite busy. I admit to being very ambivalent about a "Developer's Blog." It's one thing to type in a quick note ("Yea! Adobe release the Flash 9 API! Now I can rewrit...

Do you have a Features Roadmap (and more) ??

16 bit (and HDR support) are very high on the priority list but first I have to add all the features of Pano2QTVR to send it into retirement. I hope to reach that point before the end of this year and after that 16bit support will be one of the next things. What you say certainly makes sense... try...

Need "Cube Faces" as an Output format option

I am suffering the same pain. If I hover over the "Convert Input" button I see the tooltip "Convert the input for retouching." Clearly, this is not the way to produce compressed cube faces. But currently it is the only way to get cube faces out of Pano2VR. :( It seems to me that ...

Re: Suggestions : Remap / thumbnail output

Remapping a panorama to rectangular (default view) is a good way to extract still images from a full quality 360 panorama but it still lack a bit of usability to be really efficient. ... [I believe he means "Rectilinear," not rectangular] To continue with this: Pan, Tilt, Roll ("Yaw,...
