Since the point hot spot now has a skin ID, would it not be possible to create a custom general interface button to toggle it on or off? Many users complain about how visually intrusive hot spots are. It will be great to provide the option to turn them off.

What exactly is a point hotspot? Is it based on an external bitmap which defines each spot? If so, can it be toggled on and off?

You should be able to load a full blown SWF file and the SWF should be able to load its own XML files. I never tested this, but it should work. Because this is the internal representation. You can change them back to the original JPEGs in the XML. It should even work to use SWFs.

When skin images are externalized, why are they all changed into PNG files? Even though the original files used were jpgs?
