Not time. The media wanted the project by this afternoon. So they are for info only.

Re: Even more snow
They were hand held, but I rested the camera on top of my hiking stick to keep the heights roughly the same and kept 1 eye on a two way spirit level mounted on the hot shoe, the other on the action and fired off multiple shots and merged the best together. I wasn't worried about being hit - I'm disp...

The kids have been given a day off school (Health and Safety). This is what they were doing this morning. A nice, fun action shot.

Re: Beta Help Needed
Thanks.
I used _blank on the first (non-panorama-cognizanti) trial and they didn't like the extra windows.
What do you do to keep everyone happy?
Regards,
John
P.S.
a couple of almost snow scenes from yesterday:

Thanks. They will just have to be patient.
Are you moving to the shed at the bottom of the garden, where the fairies live? You just want to increase your magical powers, don't you.

Sound
Mainly for Thomas -
You said we are going to get sound in the next Beta. I have a client who desperately wants Spot Sound. Have you got any idea when we are likely to get it?
Thanks,
John

Re: Beta Help Needed
Thanks for your reply. I take it you mean the text 'Clamber over the rocks' which appears when you hover over the red circle. It's a hotspot, an alternative method of navigation and is supposed to load the next panorama. I don't understand the slowness though, they are relatively small files. Regard...

Beta Help Needed
This is my first Virtual Tour - well, more of a virtual afternoon's walk. Can you help Beta test the links. They are numbered CW1-7 top right to bottom left. I'm not happy with the Google Maps - suggestions, please? The pans are low res - to speed things up. The sound is turned off. Thanks, John www...

Re: Load next panorama
The reason I'm asking instead of trying is because working offline is too fast to see the problems - and uploading takes so long - so I'm trying to save a bit of time picking up some experience. To answer your question, I assume that it uploads a second panorama in the background - which is fine for...

It's good to hear that I am not going crazy. I hit the same problem last week - and thought it was me - and spent hours working out a way round. It was like the bad old days of FPP.

Re: Directional Sound "Blast from the Past"
I very much agree. The sound has brought your picture to life.
The lack of controllable and hotspot sound is really holding the development and acceptance of the art back.
Please, Thomas, put it to the top of your list - followed closely by integration of Google Maps.

John
