I'm trying out pano2vr 2.2.3 (Mac version) and having some trouble getting the same image quality that I get with my current js player
Example of existing VT here: http://vtcaribbean.com/viewtour.php?age ... operty=140
I shoot and stitch single-row 360 panos using Realviz Stitcher Express
The two Flash tours I have created with Pano2VR are here:
http://vtcaribbean.com/photos/pano2vrtr ... large.html
and here:
http://vtcaribbean.com/photos/pano2vrtr ... -pool.html
I have read other forum posts where advice is given on settings etc, but I do not see the same options in my version of pano2vr
here are my settings screens:
http://vtcaribbean.com/photos/pano2vrtrial/Picture5.png
http://vtcaribbean.com/photos/pano2vrtrial/Picture6.png
and the source image for all the VT's
http://vtcaribbean.com/photos/pano2vrtr ... -large.jpg
Can anyone offer advice on what setting to use to get good image quality out of pano2vr
Thanks
Can't get same quality as javascript tours

Hi here is my swf out put of your file.
Settings used:
Set up Pano2VR:
Interpolation Filter used: Blackman/sink, to adjust this, open p2vr then click on File then Settings; click on the drop down box next to Interpolation Filter: and select Blackman/sink.
Set up Flash output:
Cylinder Height, I used 580px, but the higher the value the better the quality. At 580px the output swf file is 766.5 kB and at 800px it is still only 1.1 MB.
Play with the Cylinder Height until you get a good balance between file size and image quality.
Render Qality, for this image I would untick all the boxes, Decrease quality while moving, Change Stage quality, Chang bitmap filtering.
The attached file reduced in size to match the size you have on your website, does compare in quality, and that’s at 580px.
Why 580px
I have seen loads of other peoples take on this and this is what works best for me.
I have always used pye, so divide image width; in this case 1822px by pye 3.14159 then I round it up, so 579.9611 = 580.
Some will say divide by 4, the 4 sides of a cube, I know this is a Cylinder but hay what ever works.
By the way wife is saying that should be our next holiday
Hope this helped
