This is only a quick note that the first beta of Pano2VR 3.0 has been released.
The 2 big new features are HTML5 / CSS3 export and multi resolution in Flash.
The HTML5 player is a full feature panorama player, with point hotspots, full skin support (your Flash skins should work without changes), multiple resolutions for iPhone/iPad and Scaleable Vector Graphics (SVG) within the skin to use the high resolution display of the iPhone4.
The multi resolution export has built in image tiling, the tiles can be embedded within the SWF, and the tiles can be in different projections like
cubic, equirectangular, cylindrical, flat.
You can see demos of these new features here: http://ggnome.com/3 (iPhone friendly URL).
To import larger images also BigTIFF is now supported.
You can download free Photoshop import/export filters for BigTIFF here: (Windows/Mac). You have put those into your Photoshop plugin folder.

Pricing: The price is still 59 Euros (excl. VAT).
Upgrade: If you bought Pano2VR 2.x in 2010 the upgrade is free, between 1.7. and 31.12.2009 it is 10 Euros (excl. VAT) and if you bought it before 1.7.2009 it is 20 Euros (excl. VAT).
This also means you can just buy Pano2VR 2.x (or upgrade from Pano2QTVR) and request your free key for Pano2VR 3.x.

We just released Pano2VR 3.0 beta2. You can find the news article here.
You can see a demo that sums the new features up at here.

Some notes that are only relevant to this forum: Since now we have a public bug tracker and road map at http://ggnome.com/bt you can link to issue numbers with [bt]{NUMBER}[/bt] (for example Issue #41) to make things easier.

If you find a bug, have a feature request etc. in please post it in the regular forum and one of the gnomes (myself, karyn or hopki) will add it to the bug tracker so that we can avoid duplicates.

And finally: You can download Pano2VR 3.0 beta2 from Pano2VR download page.

I just release Pano2VR 3.0 beta3 which is mainly a bug fix release. You can find most of the changes in the bug tracker change log.
In addition a lot of smaller things have been improved, like the transitions for area hotspots.

I am happy to announce a new beta version for Pano2VR. This time we had a really long bug list so it took a while. As I wanted to also fix the Photoshop BigTIFF bug on Mac OS, Adobe confirmed the bug in Photoshop but they have no work around and will not fix it until CS6. So we needed a new solution to import gigapixel images and as Adobe finally published the PSD/PSB format we went with that. Starting with this beta you can load/save PSD/PSB files in Pano2VR.
Another new feature in this beta are margins in the Skin. Margins allow you to place skin elements (for example the map) outside of the panorama. Martin was kind enough to produce a tip over the weekend to show margins in action.
To see the full list of changes, please go to the change log. To download this beta please visit the Pano2VR download page.

We just released a new beta for Pano2VR. This is mainly a bug fix release but also some new features have been added.
With this beta the preview image is saved along with the project so the “resizing” process can be avoided if the image has not changed. In combination with the experimental feature “smart loading” (you have to enable this in the settings) you can open gigapixel projects almost instantly.
Skins now support masking for containers and we added new actions that are triggered during multi resolution tile download. You can find the complete list of changes in the change log.

To download this beta please go to the Pano2VR download page.
