Hi
I am trying to work out the best settings for the HTML 5 Mobile.
So Far:
For I pod touch and I phone g3, Max screen size 640px, I am setting 350px @ 75% image quality.
For I phone g4, Max screen size 960, I am setting 720px @ 80% image quality.
What I have found so far, anything over 350 @ 75% the hotspots start to require a double tap before you enter the next pano.
I am very limited with my test because I only have an I pod touch and a PC.So What would be good if people could test with the following.
I Pod Touch
I Phone g3
I Phone g4
I Pad
When the pano loads look at the bottom and see what screen res you have loaded, I have written the px in the bottom tile of the first pano.
The above is not pushing the I Pad and perhaps another setting can be added, lets see what we get from this first.
Link
Also thanks to Joop please find attached a fullscreen.ggt html 5 template, as used in this test.

Hi Hopki,
since I'm on a Mac I'm running the iPhone Simulator.
On iPhone 3G it says 350px. Hotspots work with 1 click
iPhone 4 : 2000px. Hotspots don't work at all
iPad : 2000px.Hotspots work with 1 click
On a normal iPhone 3G it says 350px. Hotspots work with 1 click
Hope this helps.
BTW just finished my panos for iPhone/iPad: http://bit.ly/9DHNhU

HI Joop
Thanks for that, I have set Pano2VR to 960px, which I understood was the 4G.
What resolution is the 4G, apple website said 960px
You might want to limit FoV, but very cool.
What resolutions are you using ?

That’s odd,
I have 960/720 for the iphone 4, but yet your test showed it coming up as 2000.
With your simulator do you get to see the correct tile size with your settings?
Very interested, Hopki

I just changed the User Agent in Safari (Develop menu activated) to Mobile Safari 3.1.3. iPhone. I get a tile size of 2000x2000px
I don't know if this also works in Windows.
No information at all in the simulator.
Apple gives info on the viewport size here:
