I've added a quick how-to in exporting HTML5 to the documentation. I'll update this and make it much better soon - this is just to provide at least some kind guide. A quick video tutorial is also in the works. (Although many of you may have already figured all this stuff out.) If there's a step missing or something I should add to it, just let me know.

Hi Karyn
I have only one question and 2 bugs.

I have been playing with the Max screen sizes and I found that I can not get the I phone 4 screen res to work properly.

I have set 960 as Max and 720px tile size, when some one opens it with an I phone 4 it displays the res set in the project window and crashes it.

I have looked all over and the information I have is that:

I pod touch and I phone 3 = 640, tile 320.
I phone 4 = 960, tile 720

I set the main tile size to 1024, as this looks ok in Safari and on the I pad.
The lower limits work, I have an I pod touch which works and pulls up the lower res, in the opening pano of this link looking at the floor will tell you what screen res is being used, for the 640 triger th epx is 150, just to see if it would work. The next one up is 720px, trigger is Max screen size 960. Then beyond 2000px.

Bug 1, move to default view does not release.
Bug 2, the $self action when setting up maps is off by a few px, I can compensate for it but it’s a pain.

Screen Size test:

and a FRS for I device:

Kind regards
Hopki

I'm still playing with the resolution settings myself. Once I get some good examples down, I'll post. But first I wanted to say that your examples linked here work fine on the iPhone4. I get the 2000px resolution - although, you set it for a 720 tile size, correct? What happens when you change this screen res to 1000px?

Move to default seems to work ok on the simulator - or am I missing something?
For Bug 2 - I see what you mean...

According to the Safari Reference Library, the iPhone 3 and iPod Touch have a pixel width of 320. Where does the 640 come from? (Or are these swapped ;))

I Karyn

I am seeing on the Apple website that the I Pod Touch and I Phone 3, both at 640 x 320.
The I Phone 4 960 x 640
And the I Pad 1024 x 768

I am resetting the settings as follows:

Main project 1024 x 768

Mobile 1 Max 640, tile 320
Mobile 2 Max 1000, tile 640

This should mean that an I pad sees 1024, I phone 4 sees 640 and my I pod touch sees 320.

However I would have suspected that from my previous settings, 960 would have triggered the I phone 4 setting, which it didn’t.

Can you test your I Phone 4 with these new settings please and let me know.

The Move to default view when using Flash, click the home button (Mouse Click, Move to Default View) and it locks on, try to move or zoom.
Windows 32 bit, have attached the swf,

The 640 is coming from the above, I assumed that as we are using 960 as a Max, that 640 would be the Max for the I phone 3 and Touch, which did seem to work. Its just the 960 that didn’t.

All the best
Martin

Yup, the iPhone 4 sees the 640 tile size and the iPad sees the 1024 tile size, while the iPod Touch/iPhone 3G sees the 320 tile size. (You could probably safely increase the iPod Touch tile size to 480.)

The setting for your earlier test for the iPhone/iPod Touch resolution worked for the max resolution setting of 640px because there was not a lower setting (say, 400px). But this doesn't explain why the setting of 960 max res. didn't work for the iPhone and instead used the highest tile size. Which we now know didn't crash safari...yay!

Hmmmm, according to http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/specs.html, the resolution is "480-by-320-pixel resolution at 163 pixels per inch" while "In portrait orientation, the visible area for web content on iPhone and iPod touch is 320 x 356 pixels as shown in Figure 1-1. In landscape orientation, the visible area is 480 x 208 pixels." (http://bit.ly/4yJMse) What am I missing?
