Hi,

I have following problem:
I created two flash-files, file 1 (green1.swf) incluedes hotspot hole 1 (URL: hole1.swf). File 2 (hole1.swf) incluedes hotspot green 1 (URL: green1.swf). I created the two hotspots to go "forward" and "backwards" in my tour.
But it doesn't work. Depending on which file I open, I can only go "forwards" but not "backwards".

green1.swf -> hole1.swf ---- but then not back to green1.swf

hole1.swf -> green1.swf ---- but then not back to hole1.swf

I can see the hotspot but when I click on it, nothing happens.

Hi Nikolai

The steps to do this are as follows:

Open the p2vr project files:

P2vr file green1
In the hotspot editor set your hotspot in this file to point to hole1.swf.
Then output your SWF.

P2vr file hole1
Set your hotspot in this to point to green1.swf
Then output your SWF.

Make sure both SWF files are in the same folder.

First of all, thanks for your answer.

How you descriped it was exactly what I did in my own try. Now I tried it once again, step by step based on your discription but it still doesn't work.
I still have the same problem and really don't understand it.

Make sure you are only adding a "Skin" to the opening panorama.
Only 1 skin per tour when linking .swf files by Hotspots.

My guess is you are publishing a skin with each panorama/scene and this is not correct.

Ok.

Actually I don't know what you mean with Skin.

Anything you select from the "Skin" list meaning something as simple as a button set.
Only add the skin to the opening/starting panorama of a tour. Each panorama scene though needs it's own hotspots assigned via the Hotspot editor.

OK, but I haven't added any skin to the project.

Can you post the two p2vr files so I can have a look. At this stage you are better off not using a skin. Which by the sounds of it your not.

Thanks!

I don't know, do you need the images too?

First of all, here are (just) the files:

What is your default .swf viewer? Is it Flash standalone or are you defaulting to a browser? Have you tested from a server (where you have uploaded the files)?
Have you adjusted your "local" Flash security settings? See this tutorial

I have just uploaded it. Funny, now it works.

On the server I opened it with Safari. When I tested it on my Mac I opened it with Opera, because I couldn't open it with Safari.
Can this have to do with the "local" Flash security setting? I will read the tutorial

Furthermore, thanks everybody for your help! I guess i might need your help in time again =)
And if you wonder, I have to excuse my bad english. I'm from germany.

Hi
I just checked, all your settings are ok?

As you should have had all the files in one folder this should have worked locally?

One folder with:
Two SWF files, html page and a p2q_embed_object.js.

If it’s working now all good

Only if you have adjusted your local security settings for both Flash, your Browser (script security) and possibly other installed security software that thinks the script is a security issue.
