I’m having trouble getting sound to play in an HTML5 pano tour.
In the media player for Scene One I have included an MP3 audio clip. I have previously used the same sound file successfully in a single Flash panorama.
In Chrome, the skin loads but panorama is black. The panorama images will not load at all. Error message JavaScript Alert (see image attached).
In Firefox, the panorama loads but sound does not play. When clicked the sound buttons lock up and won’t switch from sound_off to sound_on.
In Safari, the panorama loads and sound plays as expected.
Are my settings wrong? How do I fix this?

Try to convert your mp3 file into a .ogg file and use this File as a Alternative File in your Media Editor!
Maybe it is complett word, but it is a try! I remember i had the same problem.

Thanks so much, Tong and Patrick. I followed both of your suggestions and sound is now working.

For Flash audio use mp3, for HTML5 use mp3 and foe the alternative use ogg.
Note it is important for both video and audio that mp4/mp3 is first then add the alternative, webm/ogg.
This is because Flash will use the first files in the list, so if not Flash compatible you will get no video/sound in Flash.

Hopki

I've uploaded both the .mp3 and the .ogg file (as the alternative) but while the audio plays in Flash, it won't play in HTML5 on my iPad.

The audio DOES play when I force the HTML5 version to load on my MacBook Pro, just not on my iPad or iPhone.

Hi,
iPads and iPhones will not auto start sound, you need a way to trigger a play media action.
This could be a close button on a splash screen on how to use the pano.
