I managed to convert a cylindrical pano into a sphere and upload it to display in FaceBook. The side effect is that the top and bottom views are viewable. In this case only whites.
I wonder if it's possible to display a true 360 Cylindrical pano ?
I saw a 180° pano being displayed on FaceBook done directly from PTGUI at the Panoramic Photographers on FaceBook group.
>> I found out that if you export a pano that does not cover the full 360x180° via PTGui it will add the proper metadata so that FB will respect those dimensions <<
Can Pano2VR do this too ? or what meta data do I need to add ?
TIA

Just curious.... what are your stitched image width and height dimension and file type.
I think a few forum members found single panorama images that are 6000 x 3000 and .jpg file type work ok in Facebook.
I know that we have uploaded single equirectangle THETA-S images directly to our FB page.

360 Texas Thanks for the link to The FB 360 page.
My sphericals ( Equirectangulars ) saved directly from PANO2VR are fine on FaceBook. I upload only 4000x2000.
I have lots of cylindrical panos from the 90s era that I would like to upload to FB ;-(

Hi Affendy,
If you have an Equirec with holes top and bottom then you can output as a cylinder.

Hopki
