I was experimenting with exposure Bracketing yesterday, but have no clue as to what I am supposed to do with the Exposure/HDR functionality in PTGui Pro.

Do you guys ever do bracketed photos in PTGui Pro or other program to create your Panos before bringing it into Pano 2vr? Is there another program out there that converts say 3 bracketed photos into one photo?

Cheers

Yes there is another program that works great for Braketing... Bracketeer

http://www.pangeasoft.net/pano/bracketeer/index.html

it's really cheap but works amazing. I too first used the braketing within PTGui, but found it's much easier and quicker to use Bracketeer. If you use bracketeer in PTGui then your shots need to be consecutive e.g. 3 shot Braketing (img.1 img.2 img.3) otherwise PTGui gets confused on which ones need to be Bracketed together.

Hope this helps.

That Bracketeer looks pretty cool. When you use it do you just work with one bracket set of shots at a time. In other words if I set my camera to bracket, I take 3 shots of the same picture. In a pano this means that with my Sigma 8mm I would actually take 12 pictures. 3 for each of the 4 shots.

Hopefully this makes sense. :)

I'm using Tufuse Pro and the Lightroom plugin Enfuse to refine the source pictures before importing them into PTGui.

Yes, that does make sense and that is correct, I take 6 different angles comprising of a total of 18 images. After Bracketeer I have the final 6 images I'll be using for PTGui. I know, from personal experience that Bracketeer is way better than the PS3 extended "merge to HDR" feature but I've never used Tufuse and the Lightroom plugin Enfuse so it's probably worth it to try them both before deciding which to purchase.

I asked this same sort of question on another forum and I got a really cool answer as to what this one guys uses.

He uses a program called Photomatix from http://hdrsoft.com/

And if you didn't really know what HDR was like me, here is a great article I found. http://www.popphoto.com/howto/3038/how- ... mages.html
