Fullscreen VRs seem to "lose control" or lock up

Anybody having problems where the Flash VRs lock up or you lose control over them when switched to full screen?
I'm having that problem now. Even on a fast Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz and 4gigs of ram.
You regain partial control just long enough to quit the fullscreen mode...

I have not had problems with fullscreen panoramics locking up. I have used them on Windows XP service pack 2, Vista 64 bit, Unbuntu, and an underpowered Win 98 machine at a coffee shop. I have used Flash player 9, 10, and quicktime 7.4.5

This Problem seems to occur only on one of my systems... oddly enough, it is my most powerful PC in the office... the slower ones running Vista or XP are fine but this one acts up whenever I display the flash VR in fullscreen... here are the specs:

Core 2 duo 2.4GHz
4gb DDR2 Ram
3 monitors (the VR only displays on 1 of the 3 monitors)
1 X 7800 Nvidia
1 X 7200 Nvidia
500gb Raid 1
Creative X-Fi Sound Card
Windows Vista Business SP 1

Hmmm, maybe it helps to disable the 3d acceleration in the Flash settings.

I think I'm having the problem because I changed the settings I followed on another thread : http://gardengnomesoftware.com/forum/po ... f=6&t=1189

I just found out someone else has the same problem viewing in fullscreen... he is using a SONY VIAO SZ433N.

Can you guys check if you have the same problem viewing fullscreen stuff on my web?

I think I might need to revert to the old settings and turn on
1. Change state quality
2. Change Bitmap filtering

No problems when these are turned on

I'm not supprised... My low end office PCs running Vista and XP display them fullscreen PERFECTLY FINE... I suspect It may be something about the drivers... one of my friend commented he doesn't like the updates I made to my web as the fullscreen locks up... That makes three... and guess what... His is a high end PC too ! ! !

If there is even a chance I will have viewers missing out on the full VR experience, then I better switch back to the default settings in Pano2VR and turn on "Change stage quality" and "Change bitmap filtering"

The fullscreen problem only manifiests itself with these two options turned off... Also, all 3 PCs with this problem use nVidia graphics

BTW hum@no.id , I absolutely LOVE your 'Reflection' - nearly 3D skin.

I would like to replace all the skins on my web with yours if that is OK with you?

Hmmm, have you changed it back already ?

http://www.singaporevr.com/vrs/singapor ... psule.html

I am using Vista Ultimate, Dell 420 Intel Core 2 duo Quad, with dual screen mode (22" +24"), Nvidia Control Panel version 1.5.600.00 and your FlyerCapsule operates properly in small and Full 24" screen modes.

Love that full screen mode.... feels like I might fall out of the capsule.....

Hi

Got the same problem but offline on my local machine
see the thread here
http://gardengnomesoftware.com/forum/vi ... f=6&t=1166

Well actually it works on the server but not on my home 2core PC
neither hardware accelerator no any other setting made improvement. Expect to not use flash in fullscreen.
Using flash for the website and qt for fullscreen solved the problem for me, with a icon for fullscreen flash in case qt plugin isn't enabled.

cheers

I haven't changed them yet. I'm still puzzled as to why some machines have this problem...
So far I've encountered 3 machines with this problem.
Another common factor I found is these three machines are using Internet Explorer.
The guy with the Sony Viao feed backed that the problem did not manifest when using Firefox. Only Internet Explorer... Hmmm...
Maybe I should try my using firefox on my office PC tomorrow...

Maybe all machines are dual cores? Can this be the reason?
