Hi

Nice done.
You just linked to an swf file instead of the jpg right?

The swf can't be closed. Is it a behavior you liked to have or a restriction?

Cheers

Hi zap,
yes I just linked to a swf file instead of the jpg. That's it.
I haven't thought about the close swf.
It's just a training.
Maybe we can add a controller to close swf.
Such a thing like that.

Hi

Tried it but can't get it running. Perhaps you could paste your "text & link" string here for checkout.

I can imagine that it depends on the swf file.

I selected one from the internet
http://www.top-humour.com/stockage_8572 ... -prout.swf
A silly one  but nevertheless should be good for this test.

Any further hints from your part on how to make it running are welcome.

Request to any other forum visitor : Did you get it running ?

Cheers

I am using IE 7. Your direct link to the .swf does not seem to start my local stand alone version of Flash Player. All I see is a blank white screen with a yellow ! lower left corner saying 'done with error'.

In continuation of Erik's ideas

Question:

How to make "call functions" into external menu? (primary - other panoamas to projector, without iFrame and other tricks)

*Second thoughts for Thomas

Hi eric

Just to confirm
You hardcoded it (simply inside the swf code?) (Sidenote:  I'm no flash pro)
or did you try the text link method. If you did could you share the swf path so I could try this working one instead of any other on the web which I can't get running

Nice panorama and compass indicators. Lot of work in it I guess.

As far as I know there is only the text method to show external .swf's inside a Pano2VR Flash panorama.
I choose to use a local path this time, but an absolute path works just as well (only on your webserver obviously).
Here it is: <img src="../THUMB/carousel EL.swf" hspace="0" vspace="0" width="380" height="130">

I have found that not ALL .swf's work inside a pano. This one did, but needed some very strange adjustments of its origin.
Perhaps someone with a truly thorough knowledge of Flash and Pano2VR can explain why that was so ;)
Takers, anyone?

Hi

Thanks for confirming that it's not all due to my stupidity setting up the swf. :D

Perhaps thoase of us who can create a working (basic) swf could post those so any flash expert and thomas could find out what is their common parameter and try to figure out the workaround or modify Pano2VR accordingly.

Just an idea.

Erik and Zap,
thanks for sharing your discoveries and your files with us.
Erik, how are you able to control the way the picture appears? (being an external file).

Has anyone been able to drop a shadow as well?

Thanks in advance,
E.C.
