Optimum Output Size

Is there an optimum output size for the final images that will display clearly on computer screens but also download quickly? Is there any advantage in resizing the input images or does Pano2vr do all this? Does Pano2vr also compress the images?

Input: 6000x2000 Equirectangular image

Cubesize: 6000/4 = 1500
Nadir/Zenith settings = 40% jpg quality
All the other shots 90%

Gives a flash file for about 1.6MB
Reasonable to open and download.

Cheers

Cubesize: 6000/4 = 1200
6000x3000 (sphere) remapping to cube - 1/4+20% = 1800px Cube face (6000px /4 + 300px)

Thanks.

Which has the greatest effect on final quality and size, the initial image size, format or the flash settings. I presume that pano2vr change the input image to fit your flash settings. Also I would like to have a size around 500kb so that it is accessible to viewers that have slower internet connections (like me)

Cheers

Thanks I modified this
Why do you use 20% + ? You have tested it out?
