Animated swf transparent bg

I have used this free program to convert an animated gif to swf for use in a skin:

Problem is, the transparent bg does not seem to get converted and ends up white.
Anyone know of a free or cheap utility that will convert gif to swf and preserve the transparent bg?
Or is this program doing the job, but there is some other issue I'm not seeing?
