Converting Images (Pano2VR)

After you import your image to Pano2VR, you can choose to convert that image to a different projection or into cube faces. This section will show you how to convert your images.

Convert to Cube Faces
- Import your image.
- Choose Convert Input in the input section.
- In the Format window that pops up, choose Cube Faces as the Type.

- Choose the naming convention for your cube faces in the Face Names menu.

- Determine your Cube Face size.
- Note: You can leave this at the default which is calculated, width/4. However, if you plan to retouch the cube faces, you may want to enter the result from the calculation, width/pi.
- Choose an output format. If you choose JPEG, enter the JPEG quality or use the slider.
- Change the name and folder of the image in the Output File if you wish. If you do not choose a new folder for the output, the files will automatically be added to the same folder as the original image.
- Choose Convert to convert and save the images which should look something like this:

From Cube Faces to Equirectangular
- Import any one of the cube faces into Pano2VR. Pano2VR will recognize the rest of the cube faces.

- Choose Convert Input.
- In the window that pops up, the type will be automatically selected. In this case, Equirectangular.
- Define the width. Again, based on the width of the cube faces, the width is is already determined (cube face width*4).
- Follow steps 6 through 8 from above.
