Object2VR - Help

There are a few ways to get your images into Object2VR once a new project window has been opened. In the Input section, you can choose to import your images via the Light Table or via Select Input. Select Input is recommended for those who have a large amount of images and when using the Light Table is not feasible.

Select Input – Image Sequence

Input

Type

  • Individual Images: The images to be imported are not part of a specified sequence.
  • Image Sequence: The images to be imported have a specified sequence or naming convention.

File Location

(For both input types)

In order for Object2VR to correctly locate your images, you must define the images' file location.

Path: Click Open to locate the images' file location.

Sequence Setup

This section appears when the input type, Image Sequence is chosen.

Columns: The number of columns that occur within the sequence.

Rows: The number of rows that occur within the sequence.

States: Enter the number of view states your sequence contains.

Pattern: Here you can describe your sequence pattern or image naming convention. This sequence is expressed in JavaScript. Go to this page for pattern examples.

Test Pattern: Click this button to test your pattern. Object2VR will indicate whether or not the images have been located. If they are not located, go back and make sure both the Path and Pattern are correct.

Light Table

Object2VR's Light Table

An easy approach to importing your images is to drag and drop them directly onto the light table.

Columns: Define the number of columns in the group of images.

Rows: Define the number of rows in the group of images.

States: Define the number of view states.

Update: Once you have defined the columns and rows, click this button to update the Light Table.
It should correctly represent the number of columns, rows, and view states you have defined using placeholders or squares with diagonal lines.
Add Images: Click this button to add images directly to the Light Table.
You will be directed to select your images. Select all your images and then click, Open to add the images to the Input Images section.

Input Images: This is where all your images are placed whether you added the images through the Add Images button, or simply by selecting all your images and dragging them onto the first placeholder. If they are not in order, you can move them around accordingly.

Spare Images: This section acts like a holding tray for extra images. You can move images to and from the input images section. Also, when you delete an image from the Input Images section, it will land in this section.
